The Copicode Alpha-XTM Copier / Printer Controller is a fully alphanumeric keypad controller designed to vend images against accounting quotas associated with users, departments and projects. It is functionally the same as the Copicode AlphaTM, but is fully ethernet compliant.
The Alpha-X comes standard with approximately 1500 codes, but can be easily expanded in multiples of 1500 codes, up to a maximum of 6000 codes.
When used in conjunction with Copy-Track® software, the Alpha-X supports up to three levels of accounting through the use of segmented user codes.
The Alpha-X supports individual prices for up to four different image types, depending on copier / printer make and model. The Alpha-X stores 10 different quotas for limiting imaging activity by user or project. When used with Copy-Track software, four sets of four prices are supported across a network of copiers.
The Alpha-X can be configured for different keypad operation modes. Specifically, it can be set up for open accounting third party (client / matter) billing, a mode favored by the legal profession.
The Alpha-X has four speed buttons and four navigational arrows for quick and easy administrative programming. When used with Copy-Track software, all programming can be done remotely, at a PC.
With Copy-Track software, usage statistics can be downloaded, and user codes uploaded locally to a laptop [using a null ethernet cable], or remotely [using a hub connection]. Data can be transferred at will, or as a scheduled task. With port forwarding, or using a link server, Alpha-X controllers can even be polled for data over the Internet.
With Copy-Track software, copier preventative maintenance calls can be scheduled from downloaded usage data.
The Alpha-X comes standard with its own 24 VDC power supply, and is shipped with a copier / printer specific sprig at no extra charge.
The Alpha-X has a small footprint, measuring only 7.75" x 4.25" x 2.5", and weighs a mere 2 lb. It comes with a one year (from date of shipment) warranty for manufacturing defects. It is perfect for locations with many copiers, where user codes must be updated regularly, and manual collection of user data is a significant expense.
